I am originally from the Los Angeles area but consider myself a “Lucky Oregonian”, coming to Klamath Falls in 1972. My husband Avery and I have been married for over 40 years and we have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.
Though always being interested in art, I didn’t begin to seriously pursue an art career until the early 1990’s. I enjoy working in many different mediums including Acrylics, Watercolor, Pastel, Pen and Ink, and Prisma-Color colored pencil. Many of my works reflect my love of the sea and coastal areas. While in Hawaii, I discovered snorkeling and the underwater world of tropical fish, and enjoy portraying them in my work also.
Many other subjects have captured my interest, such as African animals, and Oregon’s majestic mountains and wildlife. I consider my art to be an ongoing process and continue to explore different mediums and techniques by attending classes and workshops. Reaching for new ideas feeds my creativity and keeps me growing as an artist, and as a person. I feel that art is a Gift from God, and it is a blessing to be able to share that gift with others.
